Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of sprinters, school buses, and motorcoach vehicles. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to meet the demands of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, automotive electrical system repair techniques, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as air brake systems and proper alignment procedures during repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records and logs for all vehicle maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with fleet experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy truck repair, automotive diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
- Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Proficiency with welding, fabrication techniques, tire service, suspension work, and power tools.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
