The Role
We're hiring an Injection Process Lead Technician to own the injection molding department completely. That means the machines run, the molds are maintained, the operators are trained, and the parts coming off the line are good — every shift.
This isn't a supervisory role where you manage from a distance. You'll be on the floor, running equipment, covering gaps, doing the maintenance, and making sure nothing stops moving. If you're the kind of person who can't walk past a machine running out of spec without fixing it, and you take quiet pride in a shift that ran exactly the way it was supposed to — this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
- Keep all injection machines running at full capacity — quality parts, every shift
- Complete weekly PMs on schedule and log them in the database
- Execute regularly scheduled mold maintenance to spec
- Train operators and work alongside them to raise the standard on the floor
- Manage break rotation so machines never sit idle — fill gaps yourself when necessary
- Be the first point of contact when operators need direction, reassignment, or a hand
- Cross into other departments when your floor is running well and the team needs support
- Escalate equipment issues fast and follow through until they're resolved
What Success Looks Like
Machines run from start of shift to end of shift. PMs are done on time and logged. Molds are maintained and not causing downtime. Operators know what they're doing and why. When you're not there, the floor still runs — because you built it that way.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on injection molding experience — you know these machines, not just the theory
- Solid understanding of mold maintenance and process troubleshooting
- Someone who works with urgency — downtime isn't acceptable
- Comfortable with documentation and PM tracking systems
- A natural trainer who makes operators better, not dependent
- Self-directed and reliable — you don't need someone checking over your shoulder
Reports directly to the Production Manager.
