Overview
We are seeking an experienced Forman to lead our construction team on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction management processes. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to specifications. The Forman will be responsible for coordinating activities, managing resources, and maintaining safety standards on the construction site.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and schedule work activities among team members and subcontractors.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations.
- Efficient and safe operation of Skid Loader/Excavator.
- Operation of 1 ton Pickup loading and hauling equipment/materials (No CDL Required)
Requirements
- knowledge of construction management principles, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Physical ability to perform tasks associated with construction work, including lifting heavy materials.
- Capable of navagating DC, MD and VA working territory.
- Basic Equipment mechanical knowledge.
- Basic Masonry/Concrete knowledge.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Project range from New Masonry Install, Masonry Restoration, Concrete Install, Heavy Wrecking, Selective Demolition and Federal Complex Facility Maintenace. Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
