HVAC Service Technician
The HVAC Service Technician is a skilled field professional responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers in the field, representing Go-Forth Home Services with professionalism and technical expertise. The HVAC Service Technician operates independently at customer locations, is trusted to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, and is accountable for delivering a high-quality service experience on every visit.

Key Responsibilities:
Service, Repair & Installation
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of residential and commercial HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality equipment.
- Install new HVAC systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company standards.
- Perform warranty service calls and emergency repairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Perform basic wiring, ductwork fabrication and installation, gas piping, venting, and copper brazing as required.
- Ensure all work meets applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during service visits; communicate findings, repair options, and costs clearly and professionally.
- Address customer questions and concerns with patience, knowledge, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all customer locations at all times.
- Accurately complete service documentation, work orders, and customer records in the company’s field management system.
Equipment, Vehicle & Inventory Management
- Maintain and organize a company service vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with required tools, parts, and supplies at all times.
- Operate a company vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws, Go-Forth vehicle use policies, and applicable state regulations.
- Maintain personal tools required to perform the role and report equipment needs or deficiencies to the Service Manager.
- Track and manage parts and materials used on each job accurately.
Team & Operational Support
- Collaborate with dispatchers, fellow technicians, and the Service Manager to coordinate scheduling and ensure efficient operations.
- Support the training and development of junior technicians as directed.
- Participate in required company training, certifications, and skills development programs.
- Available to work overtime and occasional weekend installations as needed to meet customer demand.

Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 2 years of residential and/or commercial HVAC service technician experience.
- Demonstrated experience with basic wiring, ductwork, gas piping, venting, and copper brazing.
- EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification, or willingness and ability to obtain certification within a defined timeframe upon hire.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional appearance.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality and continuous learning.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must maintain a driving record that meets Go-Forth's motor vehicle record (MVR) standards throughout employment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle, in accordance with company insurance requirements.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Active EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Experience with residential system replacements and new construction installations.
- Familiarity with field service management or scheduling software.
- NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification or equivalent.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Regularly required to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics.
- Must be able to work on ladders and at heights in accordance with safety requirements.
- Regularly required to drive and operate a company service vehicle to and from customer locations.
- Must be able to work in variable outdoor and indoor conditions including extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
Work Environment:
- Field-based role.
- Exposure to outdoor elements, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and refrigerants; appropriate PPE is required and provided.
- Schedule may include overtime and occasional weekend availability based on operational and customer demand.
- Candidate must be within a reasonable commuting distance of High Point, NC or willing to relocate prior to start date.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
