The Transaction Posting Analyst for the Cash Management Team is responsible for the timely and accurate posting of files, checks, and remittances. This position posts payments electronically and manually, research missing remittances, and analyzes transactions on accounts to ensure accurate posting.
Responsibilities:
- Posts checks, remittances, lockbox deposits, and journal entries in a timely manner.
- Accurately posts zero-pay remittances.
- Analyzes Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies for posting purposes.
- Posts to General Ledger accounts.
- Assists team members in analyzing accounts regarding payment distribution and/or adjustments.
- Advises the Supervisor/Lead of any inconsistencies identified on remittances.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: One or more years’ experience in a patient accounting or health insurance related area is preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
