American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift contract in an Acute Surgical Unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and a minimum 50-mile distance from the facility.

Acute Surgical Unit within a hospital setting
-
High-volume unit discharging and admitting 8–15 patients daily from the ED, PACU, or as direct admits

An ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse is available on the unit to assist with patient flow
-
12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3 shifts per week

13-week contract

No on-call requirements

Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required

Current AHA certifications required (must not be expired)

Prior Med/Surg or acute surgical nursing experience required

Driver's License required for consideration

This is a fast-paced unit with a high daily patient turnover — candidates should be comfortable managing frequent admissions and discharges

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a minimum 2-year break from the facility before being considered

Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is accepted
