Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Ontario, California – Two School Locations

Pay Rate: $43.00 per hour

Sparkle Where Our Voices Shine Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language support to students within two school settings in Ontario, California.
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and will provide services in accordance with the student's treatment plan, school requirements, and applicable California regulations.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates professionally with school staff and families, and is comfortable working in a structured school environment. Spanish fluency is required to support the communication needs of our students and families.
Pay: $43.00 per hour
Work is performed during school hours
Services will be provided at two school locations in Ontario, CA
School-based schedule may vary depending on student caseload and school calendar
Must be reliable and able to consistently report to assigned school locations
Provide speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Implement treatment activities and strategies outlined by the supervising SLP.
Work with students individually or in small groups as directed.
Support students with articulation, language, communication, fluency, and other speech-language needs within the SLPA's scope of practice.
Collect and document data related to student performance and progress.
Maintain accurate and timely service documentation.
Communicate professionally with teachers, school personnel, the supervising SLP, and other members of the student's educational team.
Follow school policies, procedures, safety requirements, and confidentiality standards.
Maintain a professional and supportive environment for students.
Assist with classroom-based communication strategies when directed by the supervising SLP.
Protect student privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Perform other duties consistent with the SLPA role and scope of practice.
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements-
Active and valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license/registration.
Must maintain an active and valid SLPA credential for the entire duration of employment.
Must be able to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred.
Fluent Spanish speaking is required.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in Spanish with students, families, and/or school personnel as applicable.
Prior to beginning employment and throughout employment, the employee must maintain:
Recent TB clearance/testing dated no more than 30 days prior to the start of employment.
Successful completion of a Live Scan/background check.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR & First Aid certification.
Current Mandated Reporter Training for School Personnel.
Active and valid California SLPA license/credential.
All required licenses, clearances, certifications, and training must remain current and valid throughout the employee's entire period of employment. Employees are responsible for providing updated documentation before an existing credential or certification expires.
The selected candidate is expected to arrive on time and be prepared for all scheduled services.
Maintain professional communication with school personnel and Sparkle WOVS staff.
Follow all school and company policies and procedures.
Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines.
Notify the appropriate supervisor promptly regarding absences, schedule changes, or concerns.
Maintain all required employment documents and certifications in good standing.
Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully in the school environment.
This position requires working directly with children in a school environment. The employee may be required to:
Sit, stand, walk, and move throughout classrooms and school facilities.
Work with students individually or in small groups.
Adapt therapy activities to different learning environments.
Assist with age-appropriate activities within the SLPA's scope of practice.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion and maintenance of all required clearances, licenses, certifications, and school-mandated documentation.
Failure to maintain a current SLPA license, TB clearance, Live Scan clearance, AHA CPR/First Aid certification, Mandated Reporter Training for School Personnel, or any other required credential may result in the employee being unable to provide services until the required documentation is renewed and verified.
