Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Load and unload shipments with precision, adhering to safety protocols and manual handling procedures.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock counting, replenishment, and organization within the warehouse.
- Use RF scanners to track products throughout the order fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking shelves, packing materials, and ensuring proper storage of goods.
- Follow safety guidelines including PPE use, heavy lifting techniques, and equipment operation standards to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations including order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and stock management.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely with proper lifting techniques; physical stamina is essential.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipments accurately.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse environment.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or similar leadership background is a plus but not required.
