Available Position: ESL Instructors for Children and Adults
(We do not provide visa sponsorship or relocation reimbursement at this moment. Koby ONLY accepts applications from instructors who live within 30-40 minutes of our school in Novi.)
Position Summary
Koby Learning Group is a private language and tutoring school looking for reliable, experienced, part-time ESL Instructors to teach in-person private lessons at our school to both children and adults on weekday afternoons and/or Saturday mornings. Applicants who have a knowledge of Japanese are preferred. Work days and times are tailored to the instructor's availability.
Qualifications Required:
- A Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience is preferred. (College students working towards an ESL or Education degree, or who have experience teaching ESL are welcome to apply.)
- Experience working with or teaching children is required for weekday classes, and some business experience is preferred for Saturday morning classes.
- Candidate must be able to teach and tutor material for all levels to children and/or adults who are learning English. (Materials are provided.)
- Native language ability of English is required.
- Working knowledge of a second language is a bonus.
- The ideal candidate is outgoing, friendly, well organized, patient, and eager to work in a highly dynamic setting.
- Reliability is important, including showing up on time, not canceling often, keeping a regular schedule, being available long-term, and having reliable transportation.
- This position is long-term, at least 1 or 2 years.
- Training is provided as necessary for candidates who show the above qualities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide a one-to-one and/or group teaching experience in the areas of the target language (all levels).
- Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students.
- Maintain complete and accurate records.
- Develop and maintain genuine, positive and consistent communication with students.Competencies Desired:
