Aaustin Express is looking to add part time Dock Associates to our team. This is a part time evening shift position processing the outbound shipments for international travel. Some morning hours are available during high volumes. Duties will include inspecting, scanning, sorting and loading of packages to meet on time truck departure. This would be a great entry level job or a second job for additional income. There could be opportunities for full time positions as well.
Candidates must meet the following:
- Must be available M-F 4PM-9:30PM
- Must Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must present a Photo ID
- Must have reliable transportation
Accountabilities:
- Performs dock work such as sorting, loading, and unloading containers under tight deadlines
- Palletizing and separation of freight/documents
- Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment
- Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered
- Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor immediately
- Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures
- May assist supervisor in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees
Key Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18 years old
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening (background, drug test)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
Hours are from 4:00pm - 9:30pm M-F. Hours may vary mid-November thru end of December.
Starting rate is 14.00/hr
