Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Duties
- Perform computed tomography scans with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic evaluation across various specialties such as emergency medicine, trauma centers, and outpatient clinics.
- Operate complex medical imaging equipment including CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, PET scanners, mammography machines, DEXA scanners, and nuclear medicine devices while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols.
- Assist in interventional radiology procedures by providing real-time imaging guidance during minimally invasive treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret clinical information and determine appropriate imaging protocols based on patient physiology and medical history.
- Ensure all imaging procedures comply with aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, equipment calibration, and quality control measures to support diagnostic accuracy.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate imaging interpretation.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of medical imaging equipment including CT scanners, ultrasound (sonography), X-ray, fluoroscopy, PET scan systems, mammography units, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine devices.
- Experience working in urgent care settings, emergency rooms, Level I Trauma Centers, or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of implementing radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks for patients and staff.
- Skilled in performing diagnostic evaluations with attention to detail to produce high-quality images suitable for clinical assessment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or trauma centers.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and explaining procedures to patients confidently.
