Job Overview
Alpha Bravo Construction is a growing General Contractor specializing in commercial construction projects, including gas stations, convenience stores, and retail/hospitality builds. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team.
This role is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career accounting professionals looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial operations within the construction industry. The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting activities, maintain financial records, and assist with financial reporting and reconciliations.
As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with senior accounting staff and management to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and efficient financial operations across multiple projects.
What You'll Do
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain and organize financial documents and supporting records
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account schedules
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Monitor and track project-related expenses and vendor payments
- Assist with payroll documentation and employee reimbursements
- Support audit activities by preparing required financial documentation
- Coordinate with internal departments to collect and verify financial information
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Fresh graduate to 1 year of accounting experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to grow within the organization
