Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
- Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation, managing filing systems, and updating electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist with patient intake procedures including collecting medical history and updating demographic information
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
- Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and general clerical tasks to support clinic efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology,
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills for documentation review and data management
- Experience working in clinics or dental offices is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing patient records and appointment schedules
- Ability to handle sensitive health information confidentially while providing outstanding customer service
