Job Summary
HLO Lighting sells Christmas lights through our website and Amazon. August through December is our busiest season. The job is order fulfillment and inventory management. You pull, pack, and ship what customers buy each day, keep counts accurate as freight moves in and out, and help the warehouse stay organized. You start by training with our current lead, and we keep teaching you from there. None of it is complicated once you learn the routine, but the pace picks up in November.
Responsibilities
- Pull, pack, and ship each day's website orders using ShipStation and Luminous (prior experience with these programs is not required)
- Label, bundle, repack, and build pallets for Amazon FBA shipments
- Unload semis with a forklift and load outgoing trucks
- Receive freight, process returns, and run inventory counts so the numbers on screen match the shelf
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized
The Schedule
- 40 hours a week; 45 to 50 during peak weeks in November, paid at time and a half past 40
- An occasional weekend day, mainly in November
- Full-time preferred; a part-time schedule can work for a second hire
What We Need From You
- Reliability above everything. Show up on time every single day. We are a small team and depend heavily on this role.
- Commitment to the full season. If school, travel, or another job will pull you away in November or December, this is not the right fit. Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays you will have off.
- Speed with care. Work fast without cutting corners. Orders go out every day, and each box has to be right.
- Physical endurance. Lifting heavy boxes, building pallets, and staying on your feet all day.
- Quick with software. You will learn ShipStation and Luminous on the job, and use Amazon for returns, orders, products, and FBA shipments.
- An eye for detail. A wrong item in a box means a refund and an unhappy customer. You catch it before it ships.
- Forklift experience is a plus, not a requirement. We will teach you.
