EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides instruction and supervision to inmates in the electronics trade while also performing hands-on maintenance, repair, and installation tasks throughout the facility. As a Corrections Electronics Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties:

Classroom Instruction: Deliver training that teaches standard principles and methods of the electronics trade

Inmate Supervision: Maintain order, track progress, and guide inmates through daily work assignments

Equipment Maintenance: Perform testing, repair, and upkeep of communication, security, and electronic systems

Tool and Material Control: Issue, track, and secure tools and materials used during instruction and work tasks

Work Oversight: Assign tasks to inmate crews and inspect completed work

Technical Support: Assist with installation and troubleshooting of cabling, network jacks, and electronic components

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,868.00 (before taxes).
