Education – High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Experience – Two (2) years of progressively responsible janitorial training or experience is strongly preferred.
Licenses & Certification –
Knowledge of germicides, disinfectants, cleaning supplies, etc. used in providing environmental services in a health care facility.
The purpose of the position is to maintain an aesthetic, clean and safe environment within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Health facilities for patients and their families, staff, visitors and the general public.
Work is performed in a hospital setting. There is common exposure to infections, infectious and communicable diseases, potentially hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials. Incumbent must be aware of all risks involved and be willing to take precautions as required while performing the duties of the position.
Work requires incumbent to be on his/her feet for the entire work period. There is also a great deal of regular bending, lifting, stooping, climbing and stretching required in the performance of duties. Incumbent must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.
Satisfactory job performance will be determined by successful execution of the following:
Cleans hospital patient areas, surgery, patient dismissal rooms, baths, lavatories, offices, halls and other areas of the facility.
