Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Manage computer systems including desktops, laptops, and servers running Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Assist with computer management tasks such as software installations, updates, and configurations using tools like ServiceNow and Jira.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer networking components including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to ensure optimal connectivity.
- Support IT infrastructure by monitoring system performance, managing backups via BMC Remedy, and assisting with hardware repairs or replacements.
- Help users navigate operating systems and applications like Microsoft Office suite efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
- Document issues and resolutions accurately in help desk systems to facilitate ongoing support efforts.
Experience
- Previous experience in IT support or help desk roles is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components such as motherboards, hard drives, RAM, and peripherals.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with network setup, troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues, VPN configurations, and firewall management.
- Proficiency with IT service management tools like ServiceNow or Jira for ticketing and workflow management.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities.
