Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Fiber Technician to support residential fiber optic network operations. This position involves performing field installations, service calls, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure customers receive reliable internet and telecommunications services.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in outdoor environments, have experience with telecommunications or utility infrastructure, and be committed to delivering quality workmanship while following established safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential fiber installations, repairs, and service appointments while meeting company quality expectations.
- Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables to ensure reliable network performance.
- Configure and replace customer equipment, including routers, network devices, and related communication hardware.
- Diagnose service interruptions and resolve connectivity issues using appropriate testing equipment and troubleshooting procedures.
- Complete cable routing, equipment mounting, grounding, and other field installation tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, test results, and customer service activities.
- Operate company tools and testing equipment safely while following all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Protect customer property and existing utility infrastructure during every installation or repair.
- Communicate professionally with customers by explaining completed work, answering questions, and providing installation updates.
- Work closely with dispatchers, supervisors, and other technicians to complete assigned jobs efficiently and on schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in telecommunications, broadband services, fiber optic construction, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Working knowledge of fiber optic installation, cable routing, network equipment, and service procedures.
- Comfortable using common installation tools, testing equipment, and mobile devices in a field environment.
- Understanding of networking concepts, internet connectivity, and customer-premises equipment is beneficial.
- Experience troubleshooting low-voltage systems, communication lines, or similar infrastructure is considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify technical issues and complete work efficiently.
- Capable of working independently, managing daily assignments, and maintaining productivity with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to work safely in residential and outdoor environments.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
