Job Description:
North Phoenix based design and manufacturing company has an immediate opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler. The individual filling this position must assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot mechanical products. Using your knowledge of basic hand and power tools, you will be required to do mechanical tasks with consistent, high quality. Excellent position for automotive, motorcycle, or diesel mechanics looking for change.
Responsibilities:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Use assembly sheets, drawings, assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework and/or reassemble components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature with the ability to recognize non-conformities required.
- Maintain fixturing and perform calibration and preventative/corrective maintenance.
- Review production order documents to ensure assembly is correct as to specified quantity, quality, and part number.
- Inform team leader of any operating/material/parts condition that would interfere with production quality, quantity, or safety.
- Complete required documents (paper and electronic) and provide supervisor with accurate daily production data.
- Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
- Work at different workstations to meet production requirements.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical assembly – Motors, lead screws, gears, bearings, etc.
- Perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
- Component identification and the ability to read assembly documentation.
- Perform all work in a safe manner including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills for electronic work order completion, etc.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 - 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work on your feet for a complete shift.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
We are a stable, locally owned company in our 43rd year of business as an industry leader. Standard work shift hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Some overtime required as needed. Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
