About the Role:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of a certified occupational therapist to design and implement customized therapy plans for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting patients with exercises, activities, and routines to improve their functional abilities and independence
Conducting thorough assessments to identify patient needs and goals
Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to meet patient needs
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
Educating patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for continued progress
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics
Utilize therapeutic activities and modalities to improve patient outcomes
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and goals
Stay current with industry trends and best practices through continuing education and professional development

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Wisconsin state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
