Sandpiper Cove Condominium Association in Destin, Florida is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Certified Pool Technician (CPO Certified) to join our Maintenance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work at one of Destin's premier beachfront condominium communities.

The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining commercial swimming pools and spa facilities, possess a current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, preventative maintenance, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and inspections of commercial swimming pools and spas.
- Test and balance pool water chemistry to ensure compliance with Florida Department of Health standards.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical readings and maintenance activities.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pool pumps, filters, motors, chlorinators, heaters, controllers, and related equipment.
- Backwash filters and perform preventative maintenance on pool systems.
- Safely handle and store pool chemicals in accordance with OSHA and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain pool decks, equipment rooms, and surrounding areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests related to pools, spas, and water features.
- Assist the Maintenance Department with general maintenance projects as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial pool maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of pool filtration systems, pumps, motors, automation systems, and chemical treatment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair pool equipment.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
- Experience operating hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work around pools for extended periods.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call duties.
Pay
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
