We are seeking another Kennel Assistant to join the growing Kingdom Shepherds Team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of our AKC registered & titled, temperament certified quality bred German Shepherd Dogs in our home based kennel. This is a permanent position.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Comfortable working with German Shepherd Dogs (American Show Line)
- Have reliable transportation
- Reliable & Dependable to work scheduled shifts
- Available weekends and evenings
- Occasional over night stays (with prior ample notice)
- Previous experience in animal care
- Passion to help and treat animals with kindness and positive reinforcement
- Ability to interact with German Shepherds in a calm, non-threatening manner
- Ability to thrive in a multifaceted environment
- Work as a team player for the best interest of the dogs
- Background Check Required with no Felonies
- Passing Drug Screen Test
Responsibilities:
- Handle tasks associated with caring for the dogs (all ages)
- Handle feeding and grooming of the dogs (all ages)
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment at all times
- Assist in detailed kennel cleaning, inside and out, following sanitization protocols
- Rotating dogs from indoor kennel to outdoors
- Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
