Job Summary:
Adhere to procedures and policies and make suggestions to improve the operating quality, efficiency and safety of the department. Collaborate with staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Work with all departments as a team to create value for our customers by having safe working conditions, consistent quality and adherence to all company policies.
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- · Certified Forklift Operator
- · Responsible for safely transporting pallets, totes, and IBC units to/from warehouse, blending rooms, and packing rooms
- Review and suggest process/procedural improvements which apply streamlining principles that lead to manufacturing, storing, receiving and shipping quality products.
- · Conduct yourself in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- · Participate in and track Warehouse processes and procedures.
- · Communicate with Supervisors, Leads, Managers, Sales, Customer Service and operational employees.
- · Class “A” CDL license with the ability to operate a small box truck on-site between our two buildings.
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Skill in:
· At least 2 years of direct business experience in Production, Packaging and/or Warehousing.
· Knowledge of office processes and warehouse procedures.
· Class “A” CDL license.
· Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, a sense of urgency and the ability to accept accountability.
Ability to:
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Successfully multi-task.
· Lead ‘best in class behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus.
· Use intermediate to advanced computer skills to add further value to the Warehouse Department.
Proficiency in:
- MS Office Suite, (Excel, Word and Power Point)
- SAP, or Oracle based ERP system
- RF Scanner
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a light to high noise environment.
- Communicate in English to give acknowledgement.
Physical Requirements:
· Reaching with hands and arms throughout shift.
· Ability to use hands and fingers.
· Ability to see, hear and talk.
· Employees are frequently required to sit.
· Occasionally required to walk, climb and/or balance.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Walk up to 400 yards to work and break areas.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
