American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - OR Circulator for a 13-week travel contract at a 47-bed acute care hospital in Northern New Mexico, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and active NM or compact RN licensure.

Work setting is a 47-bed acute care facility serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico

OR unit includes 3 OR suites, 3 PACU bays, and 5 pre-op bays

Patient population includes all age groups

Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2

Day shift, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Every other weekend required, with additional weekend coverage as needed
-
On-call required approximately 10–11 days per month; if only two staff are available, call may increase to 15–16 days per month

Float to Pre-Op as needed

EHR systems used are CQI and Medhost
-
Active RN license valid in New Mexico (NM state license or compact license) required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and HWC — all must be AHA-certified and in hand prior to consideration

Minimum 2 years of OR circulator experience required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

All clinical staff working in New Mexico must be fingerprinted before hire; documentation that the background check is being processed must be provided prior to start

Role involves circulating in the OR within a surgical services department

Orientation takes place on Mondays

Hospital-provided scrubs; casual wear and open-toed shoes are not permitted

Travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while awaiting fingerprint background check results but must be supervised during that period

Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

Travel experience is a plus but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
