Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fort Mason Center. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our facilities to ensure they remain safe and functional for our diverse range of events and programs. Your contributions will help preserve the integrity of our historic site while supporting our mission to engage the community through arts and culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and trash recycling,
- Fabricate components as needed to support ongoing projects and repairs.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Utilize CMMS for tracking maintenance activities and managing work orders.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Assist in supervising maintenance staff or volunteers during projects.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
- Proven experience as a painter
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents accurately.
- Experience with fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Basic welding skills are beneficial but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $26.64 - $30.00 per hour
