Position Overview:
Emergent Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. The ideal candidate will hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. This position requires a professional who believes in nurturing each child’s curiosity, creativity, and development through intentional play-based and inquiry-driven learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Creative Curriculum and our center’s philosophy of emergent, child-centered learning.

Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the emotional, cognitive, social, and physical development of all children.

Observe, document, and assess children’s progress to inform instructional planning and communicate effectively with families.

Maintain compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and classroom ratio standards.

Collaborate with colleagues, families, and administrators to build a supportive community that values equity, respect, and continuous improvement.

Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to staff meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and school events.

Model positive behavior, professionalism, and strong communication with children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications:
- Required: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
- Required: Currently enrolled in college pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in an early childhood education setting.
Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completed coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education (AA, BA, or higher).
