Job Description
We are seeking a professional and patient DMV-certified Driving Instructor to join our team. The instructor will provide behind-the-wheel training to student drivers and help them develop safe and responsible driving skills. Candidates must have prior teaching experience and a strong understanding of New York State driving laws and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide behind-the-wheel driving instruction to students of varying skill levels
- Teach defensive driving techniques and safe driving practices
- Prepare students for the New York State road test
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
- Track and document student progress and training hours
- Ensure compliance with all DMV regulations and training standards
Requirements
- Must have Valid Driving Instructor Certification issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles!!! NY state only
- Minimum 1,000 hours of driving instruction experience
- Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Patient, professional, and reliable
- Chinese-speaking a plus
Schedule
- Flexible schedule
- Weekday and/or weekend availability preferred
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate. Pay is negotiable based on experience and will be discussed during the interview.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
