Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure a safe, efficient kitchen environment
- Follow food safety protocols in handling, storage, and preparation to prevent contamination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Use knife skills and slicing techniques to prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients accurately
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques essential for efficient food prep
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on hygiene and safety standards in the food industry
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations preferred
