Custom job-shop manufacturer of retail fixtures is looking for a responsible Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background in an industrial setting and be passionate about preventative maintenance, process improvement, and hands-on problem-solving.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, including Lock Out/Tag Out.
- Complete all maintenance records and logs.
- Oversee a preventative maintenance program for all production and facility machinery, tanks, compressors, heaters, air conditioners, and ventilation systems.
- Inform Supervisor of supplies or parts to be ordered.
- Maintain personal work area and parts inventory.
- Complete maintenance work orders
- Identify improvements for machine efficiency, operation, and safety.
- Identify, report and/or correct any identified safety hazards.
- Assist in the selection on new technology.
- Diagnose problems and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and water systems.
- Repair failing equipment.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to complete repairs.
- Other duties as required
JOB SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
High School diploma plus vocational training. Certified to drive a forklift and valid drivers license. Math aptitude, ability to use gages and measurement tools, read engineering drawings, and mechanical/electrical schematics. Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, basic construction and mechanical systems (pneumatic and hydraulic). Familiar with operation of machines such as resistance welders, punch presses, press brakes, forming machines, mills, compressors, straighten & cut machines, MIG and TIG welding, and CNC technology. Ability to identify, diagnose, and analyze problems and make recommendations to bring projects to completion without constant supervision. Detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communications skills. Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience required.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
