Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team at Grayson County SSA. In this full-time role, you will work with students of all ages to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our students by developing personalized therapy plans and implementing effective interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client needs.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve students' speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers, to provide holistic care.
- Provide training and resources to educators to support student’s communication needs.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups, including children and adults.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in using technology and software for documentation and therapy.
