Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager to lead our food and beverage operations in our very busy distillery! Duties
- Lead daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, managing shift schedules, and ensuring smooth service flow.
- Work with the Executive Chef in food preparation and cooking processes to uphold quality standards and food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management.
- Utilize TOAST POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
- Train and develop staff on food handling, customer service excellence, and operational procedures to foster a high-performing team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across the front of the house.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive dining environment.
- Implement budgeting strategies to optimize operational efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage efficiencies in our daily and monthly programs and specials- ensuring ROI or a pivot in planning.
- Coordinate catering, banquet events, or bar services when applicable to expand revenue streams.
- Lead the interviewing processes for new hires, ensuring the recruitment of qualified candidates with restaurant experience or hospitality management backgrounds.
- Work with ownership in all aspects of the business and be instrumental in building a strong management team.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within quick service or casual dining environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, TOAST or Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting.
- Strong background in inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team management.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming and memorable atmospheres for guests.
- Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Competence in budgeting, food production planning, and food industry regulations.
- Skilled in interviewing candidates and developing training programs to enhance staff performance.
