New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc. is actively hiring bilingual and monolingual Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEITs) for immediate openings as well as upcoming September 2026 school year opportunities across all five boroughs of New York City.
Join our growing team and provide 1:1 in-person support to preschool-aged children in UPKs, preschools, daycares, and home-based settings.
Immediate Need in the Bronx available now, with additional placements opening for September 2026. Pay is $85/hour.

Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule around the family needs.
- Must have DOE Fingerprinting to pick up caseloads.
- We have full clinical support team to assist with administrative aspects of the services.
- New York State certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- Must not currently be employed by the DOE (candidates one year out will be considered).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to modify materials and activities based on IEP goals and student needs.
- Bilingual extension required for bilingual cases.
- Evaluator Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience conducting preschool assessments (e.g., DAYC-2, HELP Checklist) and completing evaluations
Responsibilities:
- Implements programs based on assessment of the student.
- Coordinates the child’s educational goals with other providers, therapists, and teachers.
- Based on the IEP and assessments, implements programs to address the student’s needs in functional living skills areas.
- Promote independence for the student.
- Maintain daily log notes.
- For students requiring ABA, maintains daily data based on the student’s programs.
- Follow New York Therapy Placement Services Code of Professional Conduct.
