Our client, the U.S.’s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Technician to support multiple commercial facilities throughout the Southern Dayton area. This 5-month contract mobile role, with possible extension or conversion, is responsible for performing preventive and reactive maintenance across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have strong general maintenance skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
What You'll Do
- Travel to multiple facilities to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance issues.
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical systems.
- Perform light plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Perform basic electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Complete basic carpentry and building repairs.
- Perform residential HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Respond to facility maintenance requests and work orders.
- Estimate time and materials required to complete assigned repairs.
- Track and document completed work orders.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with applicable building codes and safety requirements.
- Support facility energy management efforts by helping ensure building systems operate efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Provide excellent customer service while working independently at various locations.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of relevant building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school education preferred.
- Strong general maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic electrical skills.
- Basic plumbing skills.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Residential HVAC experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to travel between multiple facilities throughout the service area.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and perform other physical requirements associated with facility maintenance.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Universal HVAC certification/license.
- Commercial HVAC experience.
- Advanced maintenance experience.
- Experience working with mobile maintenance teams.
- Experience using iOS devices for work orders or documentation.
- Trade school training or additional technical certifications.
Pay: $28.00 - $30.40 per hour
