Fixxa is the future of home services, repairs, and construction. The Uber of Fixing, Building, and Helping. Headquartered as a startup in SLO. With offices in San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Our Repair Bar is where the community brings broken stuff and leaves with working stuff. We're launching it as a bike repair shop and growing from there. You're the wrench that gets it rolling.
THE ROLE
Bikes are your bread and butter. Tune-ups, flats, brakes, drivetrains, wheel truing, full overhauls, e-bikes. You keep the stand busy and the turnaround fast. And because this is a Repair Bar, not just a bike shop, other stuff will come through the door too. A lamp, a lawn mower, a game console. If you're the type who can't leave a broken thing alone, you'll fix those too.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Primary:
- Tune-ups and safety checks
- Flat repair, tires, tubes
- Brake and shifting adjustments
- Wheel truing and builds
- Drivetrain service and replacement
- Full overhauls
- E-bike service and diagnostics
As it walks in:
- Small engines
- Power tools and hand tools
- Furniture
- Appliances
- Toys and video game systems
- Anything else worth saving
WHO YOU ARE
- A real bike wrench. Shop experience or serious home-mechanic chops
- A born tinkerer beyond bikes. You take things apart for fun
- Diagnostic mind. You figure out WHY it broke, not just what broke
- Comfortable with technology. We run on software, not paper
- Personable and professional. You explain the fix in plain English
- Clean cut, prompt, positive energy
- Honest. If it's not worth fixing, you say so
- Wants to be dedicated to a team and build something big
PAY AND DETAILS
- $25-$35/hour starting, based on experience
- Full-time
- Equity ownership in Fixxa
- Shop-based in San Luis Obispo County
- Room to grow as the Repair Bar and Fixxa expand across the Central Coast
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
