BMW Race Car Mechanic / Setup & Alignment Specialist
We are looking for an experienced BMW race car mechanic/technician with strong expertise in race car setup, suspension geometry and alignment.
We are specifically looking for someone who has hands-on experience working with BMW race cars. This is not an entry-level position.
Responsibilities
- Complete race car setup and preparation
- Precision alignment and setup work
- Camber, caster and toe adjustments
- Ride height and corner-weight setup
- Suspension geometry and adjustment
- Setup changes based on driver/engineer feedback
- Inspection and preparation of suspension components
- Track preparation and general race car maintenance
- Diagnose handling or mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate and repeatable setup measurements
Requirements
- Previous professional experience working on BMW race cars is required
- Strong knowledge of BMW suspension and chassis systems
- Extensive experience with race car alignment and setup
- Experience with corner-weight scales and setup equipment
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Motorsport/race-team experience strongly preferred
- Must be reliable, organized and able to work independently
Experience with BMW M2 CS Racing, M4 GT4, M4 GT3 or similar BMW Motorsport platforms is highly desirable.
This position is ideal for an experienced BMW technician or race mechanic who understands the difference between a standard street alignment and properly setting up a competition car.
