Animal rescue is rewarding but it is also very difficult work. The right person is dedicated and passionate and is not afraid to get dirty and work hard. This isn’t the job for someone who is only looking for a paycheck. This is the job for someone who knows that the reward for hard work is saving lives and helping to make the world a better place for animals and for the people who visit and volunteer with us.
The Animal Caregiver will be responsible for daily animal care, including feeding, cleaning and medicating. The position also involves assisting with adoptions, volunteer coordination and supervision, animal record keeping, events and other duties as assigned. For this position, we are looking for someone who loves people as well as animals. The ideal applicant is friendly, outgoing, able to work independently and in a group. Animal experience with dogs, horses and farm animals is preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be willing to work in all types of weather.
This is a part-time position with Monday 8 am to 4 pm required and other days and hours to be determined.
