Stone Magnet Middle School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual as a Paraprofessional - ESE to assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of middle school students with special needs.
STARTING SALARY
Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees:
Grade 18 $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrscollege credit in core curriculum)
Grade 19 $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher)
QUALIFICATIONS:
PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually
- Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually
PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually
- Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Valid State Driver's license
