American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a day shift Medical Oncology position in Ohio, requiring an active OH or compact RN license and prior oncology experience.

Medical oncology inpatient unit within a hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
-
80 hours per pay period

13-week contract

Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand

ADN or BSN required
-
CPR/BLS certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of start)

Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required

Strong attention to detail and effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to calculate, prepare, and administer medications and assess resulting patient reactions

Plans, provides, and/or supervises nursing care of oncology patients under the direction of a medical oncologist
-
Coordinates care planning with other caregivers and departments while adhering to infection control policies
-
Administers prescribed medications and provides treatment based on physician orders

Works independently with minimal supervision

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to or at the time of submission to be honored

Returning travelers who have worked at this facility within the past 9 months may be considered for alternate start dates
