Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with special needs such as autism or dementia. Our areas of service include Anne Arundel, Prince George's County, Howard County, Calvert County, Queen's Anne, and Baltimore County.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being.
- Monitor patient health by observing and reporting any changes in their condition.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through activities and outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at home.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or dementia is a plus.
- Ability to perform patient monitoring tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Capability to handle heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients are advantageous.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
