Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Support kitchen staff during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to optimize kitchen workflow and improve service speed
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, preferably with fine dining experience
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward customer service and colleagues
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
