RP5 Logistics is looking for an Independent Medical Courier Contractor, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of medical pharmaceuticals, equipment, and supplies. This position offers flexibility, independence, and the opportunity to contribute to critical healthcare operations. As a courier, you will be responsible for delivering time sensitive medical items efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service. The route you’ll be assigned to covers roughly 260 miles round trip. This will he your route each and every day.
- Safely operate your own vehicle (high roof sprinter van or small box truck), to transport medical items between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and clinics
- Load and unload medical specimens and supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as handcarts and dollies when necessary. You must provide your own equipment.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safety protocols during route driving and delivery activities
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs using mobile devices or electronic tracking systems
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with healthcare staff and facility personnel during pick-up and drop-off processes
Qualifications
- Must own or have access to a high roof sprinter van or 10-16ft box truck
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or commercial driving is highly desirable
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route planning and traffic regulations
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating commercial vehicles; clean driving record preferred
