Position Summary:
Under general supervision, assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products. Adheres to safety, quality and quantity standards and follows directions and blueprints to meet product specifications.
Scope & Responsibilities:
- Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements.
- Prepare, process, clean, install, assemble, rework, verify, test, and/or inspect electrical and mechanical components, hardware, subassemblies, and assemblies on single or multiple product lines
- Communicate individual inventory needs for work center
- Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times
- Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required
- Actively participates in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Utilize electronic documentation and computer systems
- Perform 6S activities as required
- Strives for operational excellence by promoting a team based, product-focused organization, contributing to continuous improvement, participating in safety and preventative maintenance programs, strives for cost reduction, and commits to on time, complete, and error free shipments.
- Assembles cartons and containers and prepares products for shipment in accordance with domestic, international and/or customer specifications.
- Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area.
- Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications.

Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Basic skills - Ability to read and follow blueprints, basic reading and math skills, and ability to adhere to safety related issues to include, but not limited to good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.
- May be required to have workplace organization, training procedure, and hydraulic skills.
- Ability to meet work schedule and meet overtime requirements, including weekends.
- Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.
- Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English.
- Ability to adhere to safety related issues to include, but not limited to good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.
- May be required to have workplace organization and follow training procedures. Including cross training and teamwork.
- Repetitive nature – stamina to do the work.
- Attention to detail.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/ or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must wear the required PPE and adhere to all safety requirements
- Must be able to hear and respond to safety alarms, pages and directives
- Job demands include prolonged standing, walking, moving from one work site to another, ability to function in narrow aisles and passageways
- Performs repetitive to frequent tasks using standard procedures, tools, and equipment.
- The ability to work with and assemble small objects and component parts.
- Uses a variety of tools that may include but are not limited to manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices.
- Must have very good visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
- Job demands include occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
- Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
- Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies.
- Must be able to communicate simple deficiencies/defects.

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
