The Enrichment Place is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing treatment services to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health concerns. The APRN will work as an independent contractor in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team of therapists to provide high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health care.
This position offers flexible scheduling, administrative support, referrals from our clinical staff, and the opportunity to grow a medication management caseload within an established outpatient mental health practice.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
- Diagnose mental health disorders utilizing DSM-5-TR criteria.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically indicated.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with therapists and clients.
- Provide medication management follow-up appointments.
- Educate clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, side effects, and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate care with therapists, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, hospitals, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
- Complete all clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes using the practice's electronic health record.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Texas Board of Nursing regulations, DEA requirements, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Participate in case consultation with clinicians as needed.
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to expand psychiatric services within the practice.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Texas licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Current DEA registration and Texas Controlled Substance Registration (if applicable).
- Minimum one year of psychiatric prescribing experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered).
- Current malpractice insurance.
- Ability to practice independently within the scope of Texas law.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience utilizing electronic health records.
Preferred:
- Experience treating children and adolescents, as well as adults.
- Experience with trauma-informed care.
- Experience treating depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, mood disorders, and perinatal mental health concerns.
- Experience providing telehealth services.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Flexible part-time schedule.
- Minimum availability of one to two clinic days per week preferred.
- Combination of in-office and telehealth appointments available.
- Evening availability is a plus.
Compensation
This is an independent contractor (1099) position.
Compensation includes:
- Competitive percentage of collections or per-appointment reimbursement (to be discussed during the interview process).
