Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Tulsa, OK
Salary Range: $80,000-110,000/year
Department: Accounting/Finance
Reports To: Controller
Position Summary
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer invoicing, payroll support, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position helps ensure accurate financial records, timely payments and collections, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Process and maintain Accounts Payable (AP), including vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment processing.
· Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including customer billing, collections, and cash application.
· Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
· Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll-related records.
· Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
· Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
· Maintain organized accounting records and files.
· Assist with audits and provide requested financial information.
· Support compliance with company policies, tax requirements, and accounting procedures.
· Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
· 5+ years of accounting experience required.
· Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, and payroll processing.
· Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Construction, industrial, or project-based accounting experience.
· Experience with payroll systems and job cost accounting.
· Knowledge of multi-state payroll and employment tax requirements.
