Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining Hilton brand standards. The AGM serves as a key member of the leadership team and assists with front office operations, guest relations, team development, weddings, meetings, and special events. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to hospitality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Hotel Operations
- Assist the General Manager with the daily operation of the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and company policies.
- Provide leadership and support to all departments as needed.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct property walks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist with revenue generation and cost-control initiatives.
Guest Service
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and create memorable guest experiences.
- Respond to guest requests, complaints, and service recovery situations.
- Maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, and community partners.
Team Leadership
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members.
- Promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Support scheduling and staffing needs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead by example and serve as a role model for all associates.
Meetings, Weddings, and Events
- Assist with the planning and execution of weddings, meetings, and group events.
- Coordinate with the Sales Department, vendors, and hotel departments to ensure successful event operations.
- Conduct event walkthroughs and provide on-site support during functions.
- Ensure banquet and event spaces are prepared according to client expectations.
- Help create memorable experiences for wedding couples, meeting planners, and guests.
Front Office and Administrative Support
- Support front desk operations and ensure efficient guest check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assist with cash handling, reports, and daily operational documentation.
- Maintain knowledge of room inventory, occupancy, and guest accounts.
- Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Support and provide leadership to all hotel departments.
- Assist with performance coaching and employee development.
- Foster teamwork and maintain high service standards.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of hotel management or hospitality leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with Hilton brand standards is a plus.
- Experience with group events, weddings, or banquet operations is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout the hotel and event spaces as needed.
