Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and merchandise products to ensure an attractive shopping environment
- Support inventory management through stocking, labeling, and conducting stock checks using retail math principles
- Provide excellent customer service via phone communication and in-person interactions to address questions or concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store floor and outdoor areas to promote safety and aesthetic appeal
- Collaborate with team members to implement merchandising strategies that highlight seasonal products and promotions
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a bonus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math enhances efficiency in daily tasks
- Experience in gardening or outdoor work environments demonstrates practical knowledge beneficial to the role
- Excellent organizational skills for stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store displays
