FT Material Handler - Backup Sandblaster
Safety Sensitive Position
4-10 Hour Days Monday thru Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
Legacy Building Solutions has a Material Handler position available for independent, dependable, and efficient team members. You'll assist in the preparation of materials in our paint shop and to be a back up sandblaster.

This is a full-time position. Prior Combi & forklift experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Loading/unloading of materials
- Steel processing
- Welding; GMAC, steel and aluminum
- Assists in the preparation of materials to be shipped to construction sites
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production area to storage or other designated areas
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product code
- Forklift operation safely and responsibly
- Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment
- Operate power equipment, including power tools
- Perform other duties as necessary
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Combi and forklift Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Needs to be mechanically inclined and with experience with using hand tools
- Positive attitude and team player
- Effective communication skills and ability to take direction
- Ability for cross training in other areas of the plant.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
- stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Work in extreme cold and heat; and/or wet and humid conditions.
