Works under the direction of the Supervisor.
- The first 90 days on the job training to demonstrate trainability and the ability to follow directions. Demonstrate the ability to learn, to work safely and keep work area clean.
- Assists in any phase of Production Shop operation, such as:
- Cleaning and painting equipment.
- Sweeping and cleaning
- Bell and unitize pipe products under the direction of the supervisor
- Visually inspect pipe for flaws under the direction of the supervisor.
- Use banding equipment and other miscellaneous packaging equipment.
- Builds wooden frames when necessary.
- Performs all required inspections under the direction of the supervisor; wall thickness, outside diameter, ovality, cut length, bell length, and records the results per J-M specifications.
- Records all required data on inspection and equipment condition sheets under the direction of the supervisor.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly, including painting of assigned equipment.
- Uses safe working practices and reports hazardous conditions at all times.
- Performs other miscellaneous jobs as directed.
- Operates forklift and maintains forklift certification.
- Rotating twelve (12) hour work schedule. Day shift 7am to 7pm and night shift 7pm to 7am.
- Weekly schedule is 3 days (36 hours) one week and 4 days (48 Hours) the following week; repeatedly.
- 24/7 operation
