Job Overview
Jonas Corporation, a plastics manufacturing firm, is seeking a self-driven and energetic Production Supervisor to join our highly dynamic operation at our Savannah, Georgia facility! As a Production Supervisor, you will be a key leader on our manufacturing operations team, responsible for ensuring manufacturing quotas are met in a timely manner while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. In addition, our Production Supervisors work closely with other functional departments to maintain a clean work environment and improve our production processes.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for production team performance regarding output and quality.
- Delegate production team responsibilities and shop floor assignments.
- Coach and train production team members on manufacturing processes and standards.
- Maintain records of production output, equipment downtime, and product quality.
- Startup, shutdown, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment as necessary.
- Promptly escalate issues during manufacturing to the appropriate function.
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental awareness, good housekeeping, and 6S.
- Other shop floor related duties and responsibilities may be required as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 2+ years in supervisory role within a manufacturing / warehouse setting or associates degree in an engineering, management, or other related field is preferred.
- 1+ year of forklift experience or forklift certification is preferred.
- Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must lead by example with a positive, respectful attitude while communicating clearly with direct reports and management.
- Must be able to complete tasks that require pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to various elements of heat, cold, noise, and dust.

Base Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
