- The Tennis Professional Is responsible for growing the net profitability of Tennis programming assigned to them by the Tennis Director.
- The Tennis Professional is responsible for exceeding all other financial or participation goals regarding assigned Tennis instruction and any other assigned tennis programs, clinics, drills, teams, camps etc.
- The Tennis Professional Is responsible for acquiring new, and retaining existing tennis business.
- The Tennis Professional Is responsible for exceeding client expectations for service and for exceeding client expectations for instruction at every interaction.
- The Tennis Professional Is required to always maintain up to date and accurate court bookings.
- The Tennis Professional Is required to work a varied schedule including some nights, weekends and holidays.
- The Tennis Professional Is required to sign and abide by The Shrewsbury Clubs Tennis Pro Non-Compete Agreement.
- The Tennis Professional Is required under the direction of the Tennis Director to Schedule, administer, and supervise (when necessary) all USTA tournaments, practices, matches etc.
- The Tennis Professional Is required to enforce all club policies for all Jr. tennis staff, members and guests.
- The Tennis Professional must maintain current and up to date CPR & First Aid certifications.
- The Tennis Professional Is required to with the Tennis Director, prepare and implement contingencies in the event of inclement weather.
Other Duties & Requirements.
- The Tennis Professional Is required to always being punctual, clear, and timely in any communication.
- The Tennis Professional is always respectful and aggressively friendly to both clients and staff and understand the importance of a positive team approach to the workplace.
- The Tennis Professional is responsible for Increasing club member participation and retention by actively, constantly & personally promoting all clubs programming.
- The Tennis Professional should make suggestions to Improve the physical conditioning, supervise and suggests injury prevention of tennis players under their instruction.
- The Tennis Professional must be fully aware of all programming in and outside the tennis department.
- The Tennis Professional is to Assist in the daily set-up and take-down of court equipment.
- The Tennis Professional is expected to continue their personal development and tennis education to further enhance all programming.
- The Tennis Professional should constantly express great enthusiasm for the game of tennis.
Requirements
- Must have one or more years of tennis pro experience
- Always embody an enthusiastic, friendly, humble, and positive manner.
- Possess a NTRP rating of 5.0 or higher with collegiate playing experience preferred
- Hold and maintain at least one nationally recognized certification in tennis.
